Rehab-Robotics®

Rehab-Robotics’ Hand of Hope represents the intersection of robotics and neuroscience. This state-of-the-art robotic hand allows stroke patients to restore movement to a paralyzed hand through voluntary EMG signals. When the patient thinks about moving the hand, it stimulates the nervous system, which causes the muscles to react. The robotic hand is designed to offer positive feedback so that a patient can relearn hand function. This device has recently received FDA approval.

Testimonial

“I feel like the hand is my own hand again because the device taught me how to open and grasp. I have confidence using Hand of Hope. Before training on the device, I could not wash my hair, but now I can do that naturally. I can also put on clothing by myself.”Lily Cheuk, Stroke Survivor from 2006
