This state-of-the-art robotic hand allows stroke patients to restore movement to a paralyzed hand through voluntary EMG signals. When the patient thinks about moving the hand, it stimulates the nervous system, which causes the muscles to react. The robotic hand is designed to offer positive feedback so that a patient can relearn hand function. This device has recently received FDA approval.
